Pin It On Me

Layering statement accessories is a quick and exciting way to update any item in your wardrobe and add a dramatic flair to your style. While I love necklaces, earrings and bracelets, there are more creative options that are oftentimes overlooked and equally as stunning. Recently, I’ve been incorporating ornate hair pins and beautiful brooches as finishing touches to my ensembles. I’m absolutely thrilled with my  small (but growing) collection of brooches, most of which have been generously given to me by family members.

Rather than going with the simplicity of wearing just one, I decided to layer them on a neutral vest of mine thrown over a simple black dress that is one of the most versatile items that I own; it easily lends itself well to being worn both day and night.  With my hair pulled back and these sparklers in full view, I achieved the exact glamorous touch that I was hoping for.
