One of my goals since moving to my new apartment is to craft and cook more. I pin all of these delicious recipes and cool DIY projects, but I don’t ever do anything with them. First up, I made my own pair of denim cutoffs. I followed this tutorial from the Glamourai. They didn’t turn out perfect, but for a first attempt I was quite pleased.

Last weekend I finally moved the last of my stuff into my first ‘big girl’ apartment. Though there is still lots to be done before the place is fully settled, it’s starting to feel like home.
I haven’t posted anything in longer than forever, but here I am… uploading some photos from my weekend in Athens. A lot has changed since October 2011, the date of my last post (yikes!). I graduated from the University of Georgia in December, started working as an account coordinator at Arketi Group in January, and made my official move to Atlanta in June. Now that things are finally getting settled, I’m hoping to find the time to get back to blogging regularly. Stay tuned to see whether or not I actually make that happen…
New denim shorts by erika arnold designs. Check her out on Facebook- these are amaze.
Another new purchase from this weekend: Lily and Laura bracelets from Cheeky Peach.
If you’re in need of a quick, easy and cheap way to decorate your room, put your jewelry on display! Firstly, it will instantly add a fun pop of color. Secondly, it’s a great way to remind yourself of the pieces that you own, rather than forgetting about that favorite statement necklace tucked away in a dusty drawer. By having your gems out in the open, you can visualize your options and quickly accessorize on your way out the door!
The painted flower plate (above) was a flea market find that now holds my bracelets and stud earrings. The blossom hook rack (below) is from Anthropologie, and I loved it so much that I now own two for my necklaces. I purchased the bodice earring holder (below) at a craft booth in high school, and it’s still the best way to keep all of my earrings from becoming a tangled mess. Finally, I also have a letter “A” hook from Anthropologie (not pictured) that holds a stack of colorful bangles and a straw fedora.
