I haven’t posted anything in longer than forever, but here I am… uploading some photos from my weekend in Athens. A lot has changed since October 2011, the date of my last post (yikes!). I graduated from the University of Georgia in December, started working as an account coordinator at Arketi Group in January, and made my official move to Atlanta in June. Now that things are finally getting settled, I’m hoping to find the time to get back to blogging regularly. Stay tuned to see whether or not I actually make that happen…
Celeste and I listening to some great music at Athfest.
New denim shorts by erika arnold designs. Check her out on Facebook- these are amaze.
Another new purchase from this weekend: Lily and Laura bracelets from Cheeky Peach.
In my last post, I mentioned my great vintage finds from the shops at Little Five Points. This striped crop top was one of them and guess how much it cost me… the low, low price of $6! It’s perfectly lightweight for summer and so versatile. Paired with a high-waisted periwinkle skirt, this outfit is perfect for an afternoon out and about or in my case, a Sunday dinner with the family.
Because I’m already anticipating fall, most of my other purchases from L5P aren’t weather appropriate quite yet. I seriously can’t wait to bundle in layers, throw on chunky knit scarves, and pull on my flat boots. This heat wave in Georgia is intolerable right now.

I scoured the web and rounded up the tastiest summer cocktail recipes… and some are even low cal! Enjoy.

After making these, I loved how easy it was to put together a delicious, no-bake dessert that the entire family would love. (Also, keeping the oven off during a scorching hot summer is always a plus.) So to welcome my parents and brother home from Minnesota, I turned to Kraft for this recipe for chocolate eclair squares.
I made a few minor adjustments: substituting Publix-brand vanilla wafers because they were on sale and using three instead of two squares of Baker’s chocolate. The extra square provided more chocolately goodness for the top layer drizzle, which I certainly appreciated. The prep time is next to nothing, so for all you glamazons needing an easy, breezy dessert — this is a recipe to try.
Summer is perfect for lazy beach days, pool parties, picnics in the park, barbeque get-togethers and just generally enjoying some fun in the sun. It’s also perfect for fun bright accessories, like my five favorites this season.
I love the classic shapes of these Ray Bans that I have had since 2008.
Sandals are great, but I love ballet flats and these are perfectly seasonal. These two pairs were recent purchases from Francesca’s.
Summer is about being bright and bold, so let your jewelry take you there.
I’m obsessed with straw fedoras, which would explain the three nearly identical hats that I own.
Colorful, lightweight scarves are great for cooler days or nights out.
